Technical Difficulties

Film photography has it's benefits; I love the graininess, soft light and the unknown. However, sometimes it can take ages to finish up a roll. I've just dropped off January's film at the developers and I cannot wait to show you what I've been up to!

J and I have started a new tradition, every Friday night we watch one of Alfred Hitchcock's films, so far I've fallen in love with Psycho and The Birds. Hitchcock created the most glamorous damsels-in-distress, modern ladies of horror could learn a thing or two.

Mayan Ruins

Last post about Mexico, then it's all about Toronto and the winter weather that has swooped down on the city, I promise!

During my undergrad, I took a number of courses on the history of Mexico and Latin America. It was an incredible experience to walk through the archaeological site at Tulum to see the Pre-Columbian Mayan city. I've never seen such a beautiful place.

The trip to Mexico was my first warm weather vacation, I hope I can visit Mexico again someday. Especially Mexico City! Bre of Scout & Catalogue spent a year living in Mexico, her time there is documented beautifully in her blog archives.

This is the year I graduate, hoorah!

My family and I traded the snow for Christmas holidays in Mexico.
I relaxed on the beach, saw the Mayan ruins at Tulum and snorkeled in Ya kul Lagoon and Akumal Beach. I saw a number of Clown fish, Parrot fish and Stingrays! My first trip to a tropical beach was amazing, I cannot wait to go back. A visit to Mexico was the perfect end to 2010.

I feel rested and ready to take on 2011.
